An Aussie girl living in London, just trying to make a life she can be passionate about.
Really, when I look back, it was all my mother’s fault.
At 14, she sat me down in front of the TV and introduced me to the world of classic films. Truth be told, it was probably the school holidays, and she was probably sick of me whingeing about being bored, but let us just pretend that it was magical and fated. Gone with the Wind, To Catch a Thief, Breakfast at Tiffany’s; they all played out before me, and, quite simply, I became utterly enamoured. Not with the leading ladies sweet singing or the handsome protagonists’ smart quick step, but the incredible, elegant and feminine costumes: the full skirts, the hats, the twirly dresses…they all completely caught my heart.
Since that young and impressionable age, I have loved fashion with an enthusiasm that I wish my bank account and my hard-drive could keep up with. This blog, my home, will lead you by the hand into a most beautiful world of fashion, design and style. May it give you the same warm-hearted inspiration as those movies gave me.
Welcome to My Darling Girl.
