When I tell people I’m a fashion blogger, the first thing that they say to me is “…ooo how glamorous”.
Here I am, being glamorous, climbing the biggest, steepest hill* in the entire country, jumping around like a moron with big umbrella on the sunniest, hottest day of the year, in front of at least two-hundred people.
(Okay, so it might not have been the biggest hill in the country)
Make of that what you will.
My husband and I took the ferry out to Greenwich for the day (which I was pronouncing green-wich, but of course is actually gren-ich…you know, as in time… *head-slap*), to see the sights and to say that we’ve stood on the line. The whole place is absolutely heaving with tourists, but the old buildings of the university, the wide green parks and the incredible markets (I had to be forcibly removed from the clothes stalls), make the whole area so completely charming.
All of this climbing and jumping and general carry-on is really to show you this, the loveliest (free) view in London…of London.
If you’re willing to stagger up the hill to the Royal Observatory, you will be rewarded with the majestic London city unfolding in front of you. Makes you realise just how small you are.
Worth every dishevelled hair, every drop of sweat, every stare.
